Lee still on top after bad luck at Oulton

Lee is still sitting at the top of the Formula Jedi championship after two mechanical failures at Oulton Park. Trying to continue his great form in qualifying, Lee could only managing 3rd. He said ‘the car just wasn’t handling and struggled on the fast corners’. Once the car was back in the garage the team found a bent rear upright which ruined any chance of pole. Race 1 – Lee got little wheel spin off the line but bogged down, dropping to 5th into Old hall. Down into cascades and a fantastic run onto the lakeside straight and Lee made the pass into island bend to take 4th. Next was to take third and on lap 6 Lee got a great run out of lodge to make the pass into old hall. Lee began to make inroads into the gap to 2nd place and with only afew laps to go he passed car no.17 (Dunn) who pulled over to the side of the track with engine problems promoting Lee into 2nd. Race 2 – A chance for a better start and really challenge for the race win, with the warm-up lap completed the cars on the grid Lee was set for the start. The 5 second board, the red lights came on, as they dropped Lee set off, disaster no 2nd gear, cars passing and he rolled down to old hall pealed off and it was the first DNF of 2013. Back to the pit garage to find total transmission failure.
